TalkAbout is an app for couples who want to rediscover their desires and fantasies together. Each of you rates ideas on your own, across different categories (like wishes around intimacy, fantasies, role-play, or places). When you both like the same thing, it shows up as a match. That way, you only ever see what you’d both love to try.

TalkAbout is made for couples who want to explore together. To use the app, you need to be 18 or older. It’s not a dating app: you only connect with one person — your partner — whom you invite to the app yourself.

No, TalkAbout is free. There are no subscriptions and no paid content. The only extra you’ll see are product recommendations that might add a little more spark to your relationship.

You can use TalkAbout in German and English, and switch languages anytime in your profile.

No. You can use TalkAbout without logging in. We recommend registering with your phone number. That way, your progress and your account are backed up, and you can restore them later.

Without a phone number, your account is only saved on this device. If you delete the app or switch devices, it can’t be restored, and your answers, matches, and connection with your partner will be gone. So it’s best to add your phone number beforehand.

Enter your phone number when you sign up. You’ll get a code by text message, which you confirm in the app. No password or email address needed.

Check that you’ve entered your number correctly, chosen the right country code, and have reception. Wait a moment, then try again. If it still doesn’t work, contact to us at kontakt@talk-about.io.

The app will switch to the account that belongs to that number. Anything from your anonymous use on this device won’t be carried over.

Unfortunately, not yet. Once your account is linked to a number, it can’t be changed in the app. Just get in touch and we’ll find a solution together: kontakt@talk-about.io.

TalkAbout is for adults only. If your date of birth shows you’re under 18, you unfortunately can’t use the app.

In your profile, you can change your name, emoji profile picture, language, and theme.

You’ll find your personal invite code in the app. Share it as a link, or let your partner type in the code. As soon as you’re connected, you’ll both get a notification.

Each code is valid for two days and can only be used once. If it has expired or has already been used, the app automatically shows you a new one. You can see how much time is left under “Code renewal.” Also, make sure neither of you is already connected with someone else in the app.

No. You can only be connected with one person at a time. If you’d like to connect with someone else, you’ll need to end your current connection first.

Yes. You can start answering cards on your own. Your answers are saved, and as soon as you connect, you’ll both see your shared matches.

You can end the connection in your profile under “Disconnect partner.” Your partner will then get a notification that the connection has ended

You both get the same idea cards, and each of you decides on your own: something you’d like to try, or not really your thing? If you both like the same idea, it’s a match. You’ll only ever see what you both enjoy.

It’s a match when you both answer “Yes,” or when one of you says “Yes” and the other “Maybe.” Two “Maybe”s aren’t a match, and as soon as one of you picks “No,” it isn’t a match either. In the app, you’ll only see the matches you share.

No. You only see what you have in common. If you answer “No” or there’s no match, your partner will never know. That’s exactly why matching works so well.

Matches only appear once you’ve both answered the idea cards in a category. You also need to be connected in the app. We’ll let you know as soon as your partner finishes a category.

Yes. To change an answer, simply restart the category after you completed it. Your matches update automatically. If a change means a match no longer applies, it disappears from your list. Right now, you can’t re-answer a single card on its own, so you’ll need to finish the category before restarting it.

It lets you mark which matches you’ve already tried together. Only the two of you can see it, and you can use it to filter and sort your matches.

You’ll get push notifications when: you and your partner connect or disconnect, your partner has finished a category, or you’ve both finished a category and new matches are waiting for you.

Check your phone’s settings to make sure notifications are allowed for TalkAbout. Then restart the app if needed. If you still don’t get any notifications, please contact us at kontakt@talk-about.io.

No one sees your individual answers. Even your partner only sees your shared matches.

Only if you agree. Usage analytics and error reports are optional. You can turn them on or off anytime in your profile under “Analytics.” Your personal information about your sexual preferences is never used for any analysis.

In your profile under “Delete account.” This permanently deletes your account, along with all your answers, matches, and invites. If you’re connected, the connection ends and your partner is notified. This can’t be undone.

If you haven’t used the app for 12 months, we’ll automatically delete your account along with all your data.
